Hejsan from Stockholm!
I’m often asked what’s it like to live in a foreign country since I’m from the USA and have lived in England, Belgium and am currently in Sweden. Well living in London was easy once I got used to looking the other way before crossing the street.
Belgium was more of a challenge even though I had studied French. I never learned Flemish except for some translations of street signs. I’m still learning Swedish after being here since the Fall of 2006. It’s a continuous process especially since I can’t seem to take formal courses consistently. And now I’ve enrolled in Arabic. I need the challenge and I am left handed so learning a language that is written from left to right is appealing.
But I am having trouble getting my head around this new language! It’s a challenge indeed. So I reached out for help and a very kind person in my network helped me out. He told me about a free interactive tool for learning languages and want to share it with you. It’s called Live Mocha.
Here’s more good news! If at least three of you sign up for a free course via my link (you can take as many courses as you want. For example I am using Live Mocha to maintain my French, improve my Swedish and as a support for the Arabic course I am taking) we will all get a free Travel Crash Course (regular price $9.95) in the language of your choice!
The Travel Crash Course is available for English, Portuguese, Mandarin and Spanish speakers learning English, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, German and French.
