About this Event

Contemporary Activism, from past to present: Making lasting change for the Black community

Over Black History Season we will be remembering activist and journalist Claudia Jones, founder of Carnival in London at St Pancras Town Hall (Camden Centre) by inviting guest speakers to comment and reflect on how she influenced their activism.

We will have a series of virtual conversations which will showcase the many ways in which the Black community have been driving change for the good of society.

“Contemporary Activism: from past to present” will be a series of online discussions with leaders of change, exploring the different approaches to activism, what change has happened and how you can get involved. We will kick off the season with a panel discussion with special guest Stella Dadzie who will be joined by a number of inspirational activists.

You will receive a link to the virtual event via email after registering here.

Please inform Camden events team if you have any accessibility or BSL needs so we can discuss support for our online events.
