ARTS & HERITAGE SYMPOSIUM will be speaking at The Art of Remembering – Research, Action, Healing Symposium on Monday 14 November alongside, Linda Norris – Director of International Coalition of Sites of Conscience; Jean-Francois Manicom – Curator of Transatlantic Slavery & Legacies, International Slavery Museum, Dr. Gonul Bozoglu (Newcastle University) and Dr. Gayle Meikle (Newcastle University). The symposium is jointly hosted by Arts&Heritage (A&H) Curatorial Forum and Newcastle University’s Institute for Creative Arts Practice.

TRANSFORMING LEGACIES EXHIBITION I am incredibly honoured to be participating in Transforming Legacies, an art exhibition that brings 21 emerging and established artists together at Black Cultural Archives. Curated by Pacheanne Anderson, Transforming Legacies presents a reflection of the last 40 years of Black British art across multiple disciplines including painting, ceramics, film, and performance. Combining the strength of Black art across decades, the exhibition provides an opportunity to evaluate the way British art history is understood, shared, celebrated, and portrayed. EMERGE EXHIBITION & AUCTION I had the incredible opportunity to be a part of Naomi Campbell’s inaugural exhibition and auction event launching her new charity initiative EMERGE. The EMERGE exhibition and auction was part of the larger event billing, Emerge Initiative, and Fashion Trust Arabia.

It was an honour to exhibit alongside the likes of Kehinde Wiley, Theaster Gates, Lauren Pearce, Delphine Diallo, and Victor Ehikhamenor. Even more so to donate a work towards a cause committed to investing in creatives across disadvantaged regions in the Global South.
