Celebrate International Women’s Day with the American Club of Sweden and the American Women’s Club in Stockholm. We’ll have presentations and a moderated discussion with Bayo Callender and Andrea Pippin.

PRESENTERS
Bayo Callender is a US-trained attorney, mediator, and arbitrator with a background in gender policy, child welfare, and human rights law. A former legal officer and court administrator with the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague, Netherlands, she was also appointed to the Tribunal’s Office of the Focal Point for Women where she managed special training, security briefings, and cases that alleged harassment including sexual harassment, discrimination, and abuse of power in the workplace. Bayo also consulted on gender equality policy and practice implementation with the International Criminal Court, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, International Court of Justice, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, and the International Training Centre of the International Labor Organization.
Andrea Pippins is an illustrator and author who has a passion for creating images that reflect the visual stories she wants to see in art, media, and design. Her work has been mentioned in Essence Magazine, The New York Times, and O: The Oprah Magazine. Andrea has produced illustrations for brands such as Bloomberg, ESPN, Lenny Letter, Lincoln Center, and the National Museum of African American History and Culture. She is the author of Becoming Me, an interactive journal for young women to color, doodle, and brainstorm their way to a creative life; We Inspire Me, a collection of essays, interviews, and advice on cultivating and empowering one’s own creative community; and illustrator of Step Into Your Power, a guide for girls to harness the power of their voices. She is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Hailed most recently from San Francisco, Teresa Andersson is a full-time mom who loves cooking together with her wonderful 4-year old. On her free time, she leads the International Women’s Club in Stockholm as President and serves as the Embassy Liaison for American Women’s Club. She is also a founding and active member of Stockholm Chamber’s of Commerce’s International Women’s in Business and volunteer her time and serves as advisors to various charitable organizations, and had help raised a little over 1 million sek in the last four years namely for the International Philanthropic Society. In another life, she served 8+ years in financial services in the private sector with global clients and three years deep-diving in CSR with a focus on labor supply chain social sustainability and tracing conflict minerals in the luxury retail and electronics industry.
