Featuring CHEF JENNIFER BOOKER, the Cordon Bleu Paris Certified chef and author of the “FIELD PEAS TO FOIE GRAS“ cookbook that artfully blends traditional Southern dishes with French techniques, the series includes a champagne and dining experience, cooking class, demo, and Soul Food Pop-Up. ABOUT THE CHEF:  Reality television personality, entrepreneur and cookbook author, Chef Jennifer Booker has collaborated over the years with celebrity chefs and famous restauranteurs like Giada Laurentis and Mario Batali. Jennifer originally discovered her passion for food as a child cooking beside her mother, grandmother and aunts. Southern-born, Jennifer traveled to Paris to study French cooking at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. Jennifer, now a Le Cordon Bleu certified chef, is Owner and Executive Chef of Your Resident Gourmet, her premier catering and personal chef service company. She is also co-founder of Southern Divas of the New South Dinner Series. Weaving her love of traditional Southern cuisine, incorporating healthy seasonal foods, with her classic French training, she created a unique style of cooking termed Modern Southern Healthy Cuisine with a French Accent. In France Jennifer discovered that rustic French and traditional Southern dishes use many of the same fresh ingredients. This discovery was the basis for culinary exploration in her first cookbook, Field Peas to Foie Gras: Southern Recipes with a French Accent. Jennifer has followed up her literary success with a second cookbook, Dinner Déjà Vu: Southern Tonight, French Tomorrow, an original approach using one list of fresh ingredients for two meals: one distinctly Southern and one uniquely French.
