This one day international symposium seeks to assess, revisit and reflect on the work and position of the contemporary African American novelist and critic Toni Morrison. There will be particular emphasis on the author’s most recent publications as well as on new theoretical, critical and comparative approaches to her oeuvre.

Thanks for sharing this. Justine did a fabulous presentation at the CAAR conference on Morrison's latest book “A Mercy”. Alan did a very stimulating keynote address on the history behind a new statute to those that died in the slave trade. The piece was commissioned by the town of Lancaster and it's very moving. If I could be in Durham instead of Paris on this date, I would definitely attend this. Enjoy
