A 20-something Manhattanite quits her fabulous job in the fashion world, sublets her gem of a shoebox in the East Village, says goodbye to her dear friends and moves to Paris. In one year she hopes to learn a new language, eat delicious foods, see the world, have a few pleasurable romances, read great novels, develop spiritually, befriend fascinating people, do a bit of global humanitarian work and, most importantly, learn the meaning of the phrase ‘joie de vivre’.
