The Festival2Funky and the 2 Funky Music Café venue, wonderfully, hit their 9th year, now a blazing beacon, for the latest greatest live and dance music, attracting excellent artists promoters, regionally, nationally, and world. Great news for a diverse Leicester that loves MOBO(Music of Black Origin), but the music and venues that offer this music have received very little overall promotion, over the years from local press, media and public bodies unlike e.g. a city like Nottingham. It is hoped links for the future with more national organisations, e.g. like BLiM Black Lives in Music will change this oversight.
