July 3-5th, Hotel & Conference Center Utsikten (The View) located in the lovely coastal town of Nynäshamn, 40 minutes by car from downtown Stockholm, opens its doors for almost 72 hours of fantastic music, great soul food and good vibes. Friends from near and far will be joining me to make this weekend one, you’ll never forget.

Coming all the way from Memphis, Tennessee, the sensational jazz saxophonist Kirk Whalum and his band featuring the phenomenal keyboardist/ singer John Stoddart. With his 8 Grammy nominations Kirk’s in a class of his own. And if you’ve ever heard Whitney Houston sing ‘I will always love you’ then you’ve also heard Kirk Whalum.

Sharon Dyall & Tommy Berndtsson have their created own unique “sweet” sound; when pop meets jazz. Their music is coming at you from “Another Angle”.

Grand Central Winter sound like they were all born just outside of Nashville – but they are home grown and they do country right!

Damon Frost has been described “as a man who has no bones in his body”. A street dance specialist you just have to see to believe.

The SoulCompany well, if you like Motown, then pull up a chair and sit awhile – although you won’t be able to do that for very long, I guarantee it.

Music coming straight from the heart, that’s the Soul & Gospel Messengers. Vocals by Beverly Glenn and Malcolm Chambers with Chuck Anthony on guitar, Daniel Stenbaek, keyboards, Tage Tobiasson, drums and Johan Tjernström, bass.

Hot Pans recently performed at Carnival in Trinidad. Get up close and personal with this enchanting sound at our Grill Party during the day and on the evening of the 4th.

As for me, (Cyndee Peters) I’ll be around…singing gospel, a little soul, sitting in with Kirk and John and of course hoping to meet YOU.

It’s all here at Hotel Utsikten in Nynäshamn, the 3-5th of July. Fantastic music, great soul food and you can even stay overnight if you want. So please drop on by, my friends and I promise you a great time.

You’re gonna love it here!

As an artist I have stayed in more hotels than I can recall. There are a few I’d rather not and this is why I can say without reservation; “I love this place”. When you enter Utsikten (The View) you’re immediately met by color and cordiality.

On the way to your room don’t be surprised if you hear subtle tones of blues, jazz, reggae or country depending on where it’s located. You might even see a photo of one of your favorites hanging on the walls. Mine is a great picture of Aretha Franklin from the 60’s. On every floor you’ll find cosy, colorful lounge areas inviting you to kick back and gaze out at the deep blue waters of the Baltic Sea. Now I ask you; can there be a better place for a music festival?

I’ve been given the honor of inviting musicians from near and far for UM first music festival ever! We’ve got it all: Jazz Gospel Blues Soul Calypso Hip-hop. And they’re coming from Memphis, Nashville, L.A., Dallas, and of course, Sweden.

The question is… are You coming?

See ya,

Cyndee
PS: Bring your dancing shoes, there’ll be disco Saturday night after the show…Aretha, James, Al, Marvin, Temptations, Jackson 5, Stevie, etc. etc.
