Nicole Jordan

Nicole has been a busy musician for over ten years, specialising in chamber music, in particular, choral music and song repertoire. She has sung with a variety of chamber ensembles including The Nathaniel Dett Chorale, The Canadian Chamber Choir, the Orpheus Choir of Toronto, and the early music ensemble, The Harp Consort. Nicole and is the chair of OperaDans, a foundation that works to support and promote small ensembles that combine live classical music and dance. She is also the artistic director of The OperaDans Ensemble, which fuses theatre arts with live music and contemporary dance.

Nicole holds an honours undergraduate Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Acadia University in Canada, a Masters of Music Psychology from Keele University in the United Kingdom, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Performance Studies from Sheffield University. A “singer-scholar”, Nicole is an experienced music psychology researcher with a passionate interest in the psyche of the performing artist.
