Josette Bushell-Mingo

Josette Bushell-Mingo was elected the new chairperson of CinemAfrica at their annual meeting in May. Josette Bushell-Mingo is the artistic director at the National Theatre’s Silent Theatre. She is an actor, director and producer and has worked at a variety of theaters in Sweden and Finland in Great Britain. Josette is also a founding member of PUSH that support black artists in American theater.

CinemAfrica is one of Sweden’s most interesting film arenas and I am delighted to accept the challenge as chairman. Together with everyone else who works with CinemAfrica, our audience and our fans, I hope to lead CinemAfrica towards a dynamic and exciting future”,

says Josette Bushell-Mingo.
