Gladys moved to Sweden from Ecuador when she was a child.
She is a former member of the singing group Afro-Dite that won the Swedish Melodifestivalen in 2002 and represented Sweden in the EuroVision song contest in Tallin that year.
Gladys also competed in the Melodiefestivalen in 1994 and again in 2004. She had many recordings including Movin’ On.
She is currently performing in the musical Hairspray through December 12 at the China Theater in Stockholm.
She has turned her love of cooking into a catering business called Sinnenas Afton.
