The Atlanta Opera has been handed the baton in presenting one of opera’s most passionate love stories, George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess! This timeless masterwork will be led by Maestro David Charles Abell, with a stellar cast that includes Kristin Lewis as Bess, Atlanta native Morris Robinson and Musa Ngqungwana alternating the role of Porgy, Indra Thomas as Serena, Jacqueline Echols as Clara, Reginald Smith as Jake, La’Shelle Allen as Maria, Jermaine Smith as Sportin’Life and Donovan Singletary as Crown. Performance dates are March 7, 8, 10, 13 and 15.
